What? Drake got a $400,000 custom made case for his new phone
The Canadian rapper went overboard to accessorise his new phone and got a diamond encrusted case!
Whatever the Drake wants, he gets. The singer/songwriter/rapper no limits when it comes to spending his money on lavish items for his home and on gifting things to his friends and himself. He is known for spending excessively and showering those close to him with extravagant gifts. But he splurges for himself too! This time, the rapper who won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Song, spent a whopping $400,000 on a case for his new iPhone!
Hypebeast reported that Drake put in an order for a customised case with high-jewellery providers for a diamond encrusted case at Beverly Hills in California. The brand’s CEO told the publication, “As soon as the new iPhone came out, Drake reached out to me wanting to create something epic to add to his collection of jewels.”
The case is made out of 18k white gold and consists of over 80 carats of white and blue diamonds, which obviously cost a bomb. The case also features logo of the OVO owl, the company that Drake himself founded, with two larger diamonds for eyes. Word is that the case arrived just hours before the 10th anniversary of streaming of his debut So Far Gone, making it even more legendary.
But this is not the first time that Drake has gone overboard with his expenses. Previously, the Canadian rapper allegedly tipped two McDonald’s employees $100 when he visited the chain! Celebrating his 10th anniversary, Drake thanked fellow rappers Lil Wayne and Kanye West for helping him and being a massive part of his journey.
